A MAJOR TRAFFIC PROBLEM NOT YET ADEQUATELY ADDRESSED
Keep delivery trucks and resort traffic out of our residential neighborhoods.
Example case: Three Kings Drive is a way to “sneak in and out of resort.” It is a major problem to local residents. Our community implores the Commissioners to improve not worsen this dilemma. Currently and historically all day skiers enter the lower lot from Lowell Ave. A major change is proposed, all vehicles are to enter and exit Parcel E from Silver King Drive! “Raised median” and “right turn only” mitigations have been proposed. Let us take the next step. Here are some considerations:
.. Build a frontage road along Parcel E on Silver King Drive and block the intermingling of residential and resort traffic.
.. Realign Lowell (as in the 1998 DA). Add a “residents only” sign at the beginning of Silver King Drive.
.. Slide the resort parking garage entrance/exit (Parcel E) to the east thus reducing the invitation to travel on Three Kings Drive.
.. Reduce the number of vehicles exiting on to Silver King Drive by NOT connecting C and E parking in the underground.
I hope these suggestions are helpful. Your consideration is very much appreciated.
