How to keep traffic and resort parking out of the residential neighborhoods?
Current strategies are woefully inadequate. Definite solutions are needed. Not hopeful deterrents. Following are some current mitigation proposals:
..Signage – Not effective! Signage already is used in Old Town with little decrease in non-residential traffic. Signage is proven to be inadequate.
..City patrols – Expensive, not sustainable! To be effective paid patrols are required every day, morning, and afternoon, forever.
..Raised median (applies to Silver King Drive in front of Parcel E) – Might discourage exiting traffic, but incoming traffic will indubitably find a way to use residential streets for access and parking!
..Messaging to guests – This will reach a fraction of skiers and relies on cooperation. Guaranteed, politeness diminishes in frustrating parking and access scenarios.
Neighbors want to be assured of minimal disturbance by having firm solutions in place before plan approval. What definite proposals can the experts innovate?
..Satellite parking with convenient shuttle – Pursue this strategy relentlessly.
..21st century innovation – Entertain new ideas.
    Thank you,
