Based on the evaluation by Mr. Benson there is much more required than simply building the parking lot to make this a successful project - what has been done or reported on regarding these additional requisites of dedicated bus lanes both in and out, movement of people around town and favorable surroundings rather than a cement factory. Why wouldn't the City promote Richardson Flats with the new traffic light as a viable pilot to study. This seems to be another wing and a prayer rather than a complete solution that will garner some use like Ecker Hill PnR, but ultimately without the coordination with other partners as well as other improvements mentioned by Mr. Benson, and UDOT'S ability to rescind the lease at any time for the land use a rather speculative venture that is only viable because the City is spending someone else's (federal) dollars...Much better to build on land the City owns, controls and is in a better location? The staff work session on transportation mentions Gordo - which may offer a better location on city owned property on the inbound side of this intersection from all directions that would capture more people?
